Some people like to say that Amazon Prime Day stinks. Well, to quote the merchant from the video game Skyrim, “Some may call this junk. Me. I call them treasures.” Take, for instance, this strawberry slicer…
Wow! For all of my strawberry slicing needs! And just to think, I’ve been using a knife like a savage all of these years. Let us take a look at this amazing product description:
“Breeze through food preparation tasks with the beautifully designed Chef’n Strawberry Slicester Hand-Held Strawberry Slicer. Quickly and safely slice whole strawberries at once with this hand-held kitchen tool. Safer and easier to use than a knife, simply insert a strawberry into the tool and squeeze for perfect slices. Add strawberry slices directly to the salad bowl, blender, and more. Stainless steel blades stay sharp and do not retain tastes and odors. This tool is top-rack dishwasher safe. “
Ok, so let me get this straight. It slices the whole strawberry slicer into “perfect slices??!!” I didn’t even know there was such a thing as a perfect strawberry slice! However, Chef’n apparently has this whole thing figured out.
Look at some of these bullet points…
- Add strawberry slices directly to the salad bowl, blender, and more.
Wow, a whole easier way to salad and blend. I bet you, now don’t quote me on this, but you might be able to include in your cereal as well. Special K cereal, watch your back, cause Chef’n is coming at you with some fresh-ass strawberry sliced perfectly!
- Stainless steel blades stay sharp and do not retain tastes and odors.
Now that rocks! I hate when my imperfectly sliced strawberries taste like and smell like knife. I was just talking about that the other day, in fact.
- This tool is top-rack dishwasher safe.
Don’t be a total maverick and stick it on the bottom rack of your dishwasher. You want this thing to last you a lifetime, possibly even passed down to your heirs. (What? You were thinking Goodwill? HOW COULD YOU!)
“Better than nothing
The slicer works up to a point. I fine i have to cut strawberries in half or sometimes smaller before the slicer will work. I think it would work better if the blades were actually sharp. As it is, I have to exert a considerable amount of pressure to cut a moderate size strawberry. Also the design is such that the slicer tends to push the strawberry almost out of the slicer when you squeeze the handles.”
This person seems rather ungrateful for what the strawberry gods have bestowed upon man. Hey! You shouldn’t be hating about getting a good wrist workout! People vastly underestimate the importance of such a workout.
I love this for slicing strawberries
“I love this for slicing strawberries!!! Hulled 4 quarts of strawberries for Easter and then it took me less than 5 minutes to slice them. The slices were uniform making for a prettier cheesecake. All of the mess I associate with slicing strawberries, the juices running down my arm, the stained cutting board and clean-up do not happen with this. This is my new favorite small fruit gadget and I am a gadget junkie. I would recommend to everyone:)“
See… this helped this individual’s trauma associated with making cheesecake. It helped them move onto the next phase of their life. I want that for myself.
